November 2011 Year to Date Outer Banks Real Estate Sales

Though we saw sales drop in was just a blip for the overall year. In the first 11 months on the Outer Banks MLS we have seen an increase in total real estate sales from 2010. These sales are being led by land and commercial sales while residential sales are slightly off.
One area where the market is slightly off is in homes under contract through 2011. Currently under contract properties are off 3% on the Outer Banks MLS. A strong Outer Banks residential home market in December could mean real estate sales for 2011 are up in all segments from 2010. All signs are pointing towards a positive 2012 on the Outer Banks.
